Writer and Translator
Graduated from Chuo University in 1988.
Translated three Martin McDonagh’s plays, "The Beauty Queen of Leenane," "The Lieutenant of Inishmore" and "The Pillowman"(won Yuasa Yoshiko Prize in March 2005) for Japanese productions shown at the Parco Theater in Tokyo.
Other translations of plays include Synge's "The Playboy of the Western World" and John Masteroff's musical "Cabaret". Translations of books include the script for Tim Burton's film, "Big Fish," and Polly Horvath's novels for young readers, "The Vacation" and "The Canning Season."
Authored three novels, "Sekaijinrui ga Sexless de Arimasuyouni (May Sexless Marriages Prevail on Earth),""Cult no Shima (Cult Island)," "Menzaifu ni (Pardoner)."
